to south of Dry Tortugas, and the extreme southeastern Gulf of
America, including The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Seas are given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.
The Wave Detail section highlights the period and direction of
origin for the highest-energy waves, as well as any long-period
swells moving in a different direction than the wind.

SYNOPSIS
Strengthening high pressure centered over the Mid-Atlantic region
will interact with a developing disturbance in the eastern
Caribbean, supporting freshening northeasterly breezes over the
next several days. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all
Florida Keys marine zones. Breezes will peak Sunday night through
Tuesday, when strong to near gale breezes will be possible. The
freshening breezes and a surge of moisture may also support
elevated rain and thunderstorm chances through Monday.
