Moderatly humid with the dew point at 67°. Currently northwest winds 6 to 8 knots on Venice Beach; Outgoing tide at 1.0 ↓ ft...(more.) Clearwater beach west-northwest winds 2 to 4 knots; Outgoing tide 1.3 ↓ ft...(more.) . First light is at 6:14 am. and the moon phase is Full Moon: 98.29% illumination.

Surf is down into the dawn patrol . Wave height 1.0 ft (NW 317°) at the Egmont Channel. Dominant wave period at 3 seconds. No hype but surf is a possibility out 7 days. The Swellmachine's 16 day surf forecast shows chances for waves on Monday 5-23, Tuesday 5-24, Wednesday 5-25 and Thursday 5-26. Durring the 16 day forecast period, wave heights peak out around 13.8 feet at 12.54 seconds on Tuesday 5-24. Also, a chance of glassy surf with easterly winds on Monday 5-23 and Tuesday 5-24. Tropical Update: National Hurricane Center's Tropical Weather Outlook indicates; Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days. The full Official Outlook can be viewed on the WX page. Tropical Weather Outlooks are updated by the National Hurricane Center several times every day from May 15th through November 30th.
